France Trip 2006

September 2-10, 2006

For some reason, Yana liked the cobblestones

That's one big buck!

A well in Riquewhir.

Side street.

From there, we headed to Colmar, the largest town in the Department Haute-Rhin.

We stayed at the Hotel des Têtes.

Colmar was the home of Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi, the designer of the Statue of Liberty.

Colmar had some small canals.

People supposedly called it Petite Venice, but that's largely a misnomer.

Lots of old buildings.

Some with ornate carvings.

I liked this pseudo-ruined barn.

Colmar at night.
