Portugal and Spain Trip 2007

August 10-19, 2006

We drove past many cork trees in which the bark had just been harvested.

Olive trees.

The dirst monolith we saw, off a long dirt road, was the Menir dos Almendres.

We had to make various poses around it.

A farm.

Piles of cork bark.

The area was very rugged.

Next, we came upon the Cromeleque dos Almendres.

As the sign says, it is about 95 rounded granite monoliths.

Some had designs carved into them.

The Great Dolmen (tomb) of Zambujeiro.
